About Me

I started my career consulting the Subway Franchisee community as it experienced explosive growth at the turn of the century when I was in College. They had a compliance conundrum. There was a mandated requirement to install Micros POS systems in all of the 225+ locations around Chicagoland within 13 months. I was the tip of the spear in that project leading me to create the menu standard configurations, routine processing, training of Management in college computer labs and installing over 80 units in greater Chicagoland. During that time I got familiar with Merchant Processing as well and yearned to open my own business.

With this experience I had a name and initial idea developed to open up “Penguin POS” with a response which I totally understand being my father was a ‘salt of the earth’ type of guy:

“Cut the “expletive” grab a
“Expletive” wrench and get to work!!!”

So I did not fulfill my dream 20 years ago and after working in logistics, painting houses, sales gigs and farming psychedelic mushrooms after the 07’ financial meltdown I did just that. I grabbed a wrench and completed the 597 Union apprenticeship and when working sub-zero temps I had medical conditions in play resulting in washing out of the Trades. Regardless I added feathers to my cap in knowing how the interworkings of many different companies tick.

With my accolades intact and completing a post-trades rideshare time of clarity meeting nearly 100,000 people from all walks of life I have plenty of stories to keep you entertained. As far as family life I enjoy time living in the LVVA Association in Wauconda, IL with summer beach fun and raising my daughter (2017) Kaya, (2024) Aksel and spending time with my lovely wife Katherine. We enjoy camping, fishing, hiking and anything that gets us out into nature.
